It's an internal recipe-quality score from 0 to 100 (target 80+) reflecting how closely a recipe follows the kidney-supportive pattern: controlled phosphorus, moderate high-quality protein, low sodium. It's a guide to compare recipes — not a medical measurement, biomarker, or substitute for your vet's bloodwork.

Yes. A photo of the finished dish is generated automatically with every recipe, so you can picture the meal. It's an AI-generated impression of the dish, not a photo of your specific batch, so the real result may look a little different.

Yes. There's a metric/imperial toggle so you can enter your dog's weight in kilograms or pounds, whichever you use. Your choice is remembered for next time.

Yes. Every recipe you generate is saved automatically to My Recipes and linked to your access code, so you can come back to it anytime — even on a different device. Automatic saving does not use any additional recipe credits.

Yes. Each recipe has a "Download PDF" option so you can save it, print it, or bring it to your vet appointment. The PDF includes the photo, ingredients, steps, portion, and nutrient estimates. This doesn't use one of your recipes.

The new recipe replaces the one currently shown on the Generator page, but the previous recipe has already been saved automatically in My Recipes. Only generating a brand-new recipe uses one of your recipe credits; viewing, reopening, or downloading saved recipes does not.

No. There is no daily recipe limit. You can generate as many new recipes as you want in a day until you use the total recipe allowance included in your pass. Each new generation still counts toward your 100-recipe pass total.

Yes. There's a field where you can list ingredients you already have, and the app does its best to build a kidney-supportive recipe around them — while always avoiding foods that are unsafe for dogs.

Add what your dog refuses under "Foods the dog refuses" and try a different cooking style or protein. For picky or nauseous dogs, choose options focused on palatability and ask your vet about appetite support.

When your code is entered, the app shows a small status box with recipes used, recipes remaining, and your expiry date. It updates automatically as you generate recipes.

Yes. Stripe renews the same access code, so your saved recipes, dog profiles, and history stay connected to it.

It's a one-time purchase — no recurring charges, nothing billed automatically. When your pass runs out, renewing is entirely your choice.

Because access unlocks digital content immediately, completed renewals are generally non-refundable once the renewed pass has been used. If something isn't working or your code has an issue, contact us and we'll help you resolve it.

Your dog's profile is kept so the app can personalize recipes and load your preferences across devices when you enter your code. It's used to run the app for you — not sold or shared for advertising.

No. We don't sell your information or share it for advertising. The recipe text is generated through a third-party AI provider to make the app work, but your data isn't used to market to you.

Your pass is meant for one household's dogs. Sharing it widely uses up your total recipe allowance, and heavy multi-device sharing may be flagged. If a friend has a dog with kidney issues, the kindest move is to gift them their own pass.

No. This is an educational planning tool to bring ideas to your veterinarian. It does not diagnose, treat, or manage kidney disease and does not replace a vet-prescribed renal diet. Your vet — ideally a board-certified veterinary nutritionist (DACVN) — has the final say.

A homemade recipe on its own is usually not nutritionally complete for a dog. Each recipe names the types of supplements typically needed (like a calcium source, omega-3, or B-complex) without doses, because your vet sets the exact supplements and amounts to make the diet complete and safe.

Foods that are toxic to dogs are never used in any recipe — including grapes, raisins, onion, garlic, chocolate, and xylitol, among others. Even so, always read every ingredient yourself before feeding, since you know your dog best.

Transition gradually over several days, mixing more of the new food in over time, and watch your dog's appetite, stool, and energy. If anything seems off, pause and contact your vet.
